Have you been holding your breath for a new Justin Bieber album? While the singer has been frequently in the news recently, from his relationship with Disney star Selena Gomez to reportedly dissing Kanye West, his most musical release has been his Chris Brown collaboration, “Next 2 You,” which was leakedand then properly released. The teen pop sensation, however, revealed onT witter yesterday that he’s making new music:

Bieber mentioned writing new songs in April as he was touring Australia. At the time, the singer mentioned in his Twitter account that he was writing new material and expected to hit the studio by summer.
Bieber’s relationship with Selena Gomez has many wondering if the two stars would collaborate on a track, especially considering Bieber’s songs have featured plenty of other artists already, including Rascal Flatts, Sean Kingston, and Ludacris. Although no song is in the works now, a future collaboration is not out of the question. Gomez, who recently appeared on Good Morning America to perform some of her new songs, said: "I'm not sure. Whenever I do songs I kind of do it organically so if it happens, it happens.”
In May, however, Bieber gave a more affirmative answer to a possible duet: “Maybe I’d sing with Selena, I’ve heard all of her new stuff it’s amazing. I would also love to work with Will.i.am as well as Jay-Z – on a cool fun record.”
Considering the singer recently mentioned his affinity for country and rap music, an upcoming album could feature a varying palette of sounds. But, as fans wait for a new track to appear, Bieber’s media presence isn’t waning. In fact, Bieber was recently ranked third in Forbes’ annual Celebrity 100 because of his media visibility, social media strategy, and earnings from music and concert movieNever Say Never.
